Submission guidelines

Submissions are now open for our Nostalgia issue. Deadline is May 21, 2023.

We accept submissions in short fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, music, art/photography, music, and short films! See below for submission guidelines.

Send all submissions to hyebredmag@gmail.com. All submissions except photographs must be attached in Word or Google doc. Include your name and a brief third person bio to be included along with your work. Please also include information about your Armenian heritage and how the work is inspired by the current theme.

All submissions will be considered for publication and response time will vary.

Fiction and Nonfiction:

• Please send up to 3,500 words per submission.

Poetry:

• Please send up to 3 poems per submission.

Art/Photography:

• Please send up to 6 photos per submission.

• Photos should be in either JPEG or PNG, at least 72 dpi and at least 1000 px on one side.

Music: 

• Please send the links of up to 3 selections of royalty-free music.

Short Films:

• Please send the link of 1 short film per submission. Provide a short blurb about the film to be included in the publication.

Artist Rights: If you have been selected for publication, you may submit your published piece(s) elsewhere; we just ask that you acknowledge it was published in HyeBred Magazine.
